With over 20 years of experience in the hair industry, Melissa has built a career rooted in passion, empowerment, and continuous learning. Specializing in consultations, lived-in color, blonding, grey blending, dimensional brunettes, and round brush blowouts, she is also a true color theory specialist. Melissa has trained at some of the industry’s top academies, including Bumble & Bumble University in New York City, Ashley Norman’s Academy, Keune Academy, and is a certified stylist with Redken and L’ANZA.

Though she initially planned a career in law, Mackenzie quickly realized her true passion was in the beauty world. She went on to study at St. Pierre Academy in Roanoke, all while working for MAC Cosmetics, where she honed her artistry, became a product specialist, and attended elite industry events. With over a decade of experience in makeup, she now specializes in soft glam and bridal makeup—bringing a calming presence and flawless finish to every wedding day.
In the salon, Mackenzie is known for her expertise in blonding, curly hair, vivid color, and modern extension methods. As a DevaCurl-trained curly hair specialist, she’s passionate about helping clients embrace their natural texture with confidence. Her love for creative color also shines through in her vivid work—whether it’s bold fashion shades or soft pastel blends, Mackenzie brings a thoughtful, artistic approach to every transformation.
She’s deeply committed to staying at the forefront of the industry, having attended numerous advanced education events, including the Keune Academy in Atlanta, the L’ANZA Big Event in Las Vegas, and several other hands-on workshops and trainings. Her dedication to education ensures she’s always evolving, offering clients the latest techniques and trends with the highest level of care and precision.
Outside the salon, Mackenzie is a newlywed, proud dog mom of four, and a true lover of all things local—from coffee shops to community markets. She believes beauty is deeply personal and takes pride in creating a custom experience for each guest that leaves them feeling confident, seen, and beautiful.
